HOW DO I INSERT LILAS ?Before you use it for the first time, we recommend you sterilise LILAS (boiling it in water for a few minutes or using a sterilisation solution). Always insert it with clean hands, in a relaxed position:sitting, squatting, kneeling or standing. You are free ta choose what is best for you. To make this easier, you can moisten LILAS with water or use a water-based lubricant.Then, follow the instructions listed below: 1 – Press the sides of the cup together using your fingers and thumb. 2 – Fold the cup in half length ways.

3 – Insert the cup in the vagina obliquely, toward the back, bearing in mind that its position has to be lower than in the case of tampons. Depending on your anatomy, the stem of your menstrual cup may be sitting right outside your vagina. If necessary, after removing your cup, feel free to trim the stem to adapt it to your needs. HOW DO I REMOVE LILAS ?Make sure your hands are very clean. ln the position of your choice, relax and contract your vaginal muscles and ease the cup slowly towards the rim of your vagina. Use a finger to check that the rims of the cup are well-detached from your vaginal walls.Press the bottom part of the cup between your fingers and take it out slowly. Empty the contents into the toilet. Wash the cup with water and neutral soap, dry with clean paper, and place it in its pouch.No washbasin in the bathroom you usually use?Not a problem: simply bring a glass or a bottle of water to the bathroom with you to rinse LILAS. HOW DO I USE LILAS ?Remove and empty the cup at least every 8 hours or more often if necessary. Adapt the length of the stem to your needs, trimming it off if required. IMPORTANT WARNING !· Use LILAS for 8 hours maximum at a time. Remove and clean Lilas thoroughly before introducing it again. If you were to use LILAS for a longer period of time without removing and cleaning it, you risk Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) which can lead to death. · Only clean the cup using l’INDISPENSABLE or neutral soap.· Do not use LILAS while having sexual intercourse.· LILAS is not a contraceptive and will not protect you against venereal diseases.· Only use ENCORE HISTOIRE D’EAU or any other water-based lubricant.· ln case of any vaginal symptoms, contact your gynecologist.
